December Meetup: The Golden Compass

** IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ ****************************************

1) In your RSVP message box, indicate if you will be coming for: MOVIE + DINNER, MOVIE ONLY, or DINNER ONLY. Members who do not specify DINNER will not get a space reserved for them.

2) If you cannot find the group for some reason, meet us outside the screening room after the movie. I'm always wearing a Meetup button and there is always a group of 10 or more people standing right outside the door.

3) Get your tickets ASAP. Buy them the day before or online if you can. The Scotia Bank theater sometimes gets VERY BUSY on Saturdays.

Movie: The Golden Compass

Description: Adaptation of the Carnegie Medal-winning novel by Pullman, the first volume in the His Dark Materials trilogy. In a parallel Oxford, young Lyra Belacqua begins a dimension-crossing odyssey that builds from a merely atypical children's adventure into a complex (and frequently quite dark) philosophical epic.

MEETING TIME: 15h30-15h50*

PRE-movie meeting Spot: In front of the interior entrance of Simons, at the top of the escalator, just outside the indoor entrance to the theater. I'll have a notepad and pen in my hands and I'll also be wearing a Meetup button.
