"After seeing "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in 1981, three 12 year old friends, Chris Strompolos, Eric Zala and Jayson Lamb, began filming their own shot-by-shot adaptation in the backyards of their Mississippi homes.
Seven years later their film was in the can.

Fourteen years later, in 2003, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin Texas was proud to announce the theatrical world premiere of "Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation."

The shot for shot remake has been making the rounds at various film festivals and has been approved for charity showings by Steven Spielbergfilm and now the film is coming to Vancouver for a very special one night engagement with proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.

This is bound to be a sell out and we've been given the opportunity by one of the organizers to attend the screening at a special discounted group rate! Regular price for the tickets is $12 and if we can get a group of 10 or more together, ticket price drops to $10. You don't have to pay yet, instead, please ensure that you RSVP to guarantee your spot! We'll need to reserve our seats by Wednesday, April 23rd so please RSVP early!

The group will be meeting at 6PM at the Starbucks a few doors down from the theater - look for the meetup sign! Note that Cambie is now open and there is lots of parking in the neighbourghood...just be sure to come early! Moneys will be collected at Starbucks and the group will make it's way to The Park at 6:30 to pick-up tickets and find seating! Other details will be confirmed closer to the film date.
