Declare your independence from the multiplexes and see an independent, foreign (always with English subtitles), classic, documentary or any thought provoking movie that challenges your mind. You will often see us at landmark locations like the Cedar Lee, Cinemateque, Art Museum, universities or other institutions. We usually work in dinner at a locally owned restaurant either before or afterward. Each evening ends with a discussion of the movie at a local coffee house or pub. (We also try to get in a little walking from time to time.)
Cost to attend is $1.50 per movie or $5 for the year. Your first movie with the group is free. Fees are waived for assistant organizers or organizers in other Meetups.
