Our next movie is a series of What Ifs. How would things be different if Kennedy had lived? What similarities to Vietnam can be found in today's world?

7:00 MOVIE
Meet at the ENTRANCE DOOR 10 minutes ahead of time or look for the group inside the theater or meet us afterward outside the entrance door. This is the art museum, not the Cinemateque.

8:30 EATS AND DISCUSSION
Earlier this winter, a few of us had rave reviews about L'Albatros Brasserie & Bar at 11401 Bellflower Rd. (216) 791-7880. It is about a 10 minute walk from the museum. We will try for the patio for what I believe will be an interesting discussion.

Please let us know your dinner plans on your RSVP so that we can either save you a seat at the "Movie Group" table or plan to meet you at the movie. Checks are processed in groups of 2 or 3 so please bring cash to pay for your meal.

If you don't see us when you walk in, ask to be seated with the Movie Group.

DESCRIPTION
This new piece of speculative history employs films clips and analyses of the crises faced by President John F. Kennedy to ponder how the Vietnam War might have unfolded had Kennedy not been assassinated.

REVIEW
Assembles an amazing array of recorded conversations and vintage newsreel, and offers up enough press conference footage to make one nostalgic for the days when an uncowed, penetrating press really did serve the public interest...

fyi - the free parking at the cleveland institute of art might be a friendly alternative to the cma garage.

    •  Interesting movie. I learned a lot about JFK.
    •  the film provided a good look back at john kennedy's brief presidency and offered some insight into his decision making process. there were many historical omissions however which clouded the real circumstances of the period. l'albatros was disappointing. both service and food quality were below expectations.
    •  I enjoyed both the film and dinner! The film was good history lesson for me...the restaurant's cuisine was very appetizing. The service was good but moved at a gingerly pace. Tonight's conversation was great...it got late before we knew it. I also enjoyed seeing old acquaintances and making new ones!
