Introduction
I love movies.
What independent or foreign film that most affected you?
This may not have been independent, but Harold and Maude has an eternal place in my heart. And eternal makes me think of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I once obsessed for months over The Piano. I'm currently watching Hedwig and the Angry Inch on my tiny kitchen TV. I cried uncontrollably when Peter O'Toole died at the end of Venus. One of the first films I saw in my new life as a divorcee was John Waters' Dirty Rotten Shame, which I enjoyed although many others left the theatre in a huff. I don't like wearing my glasses, so I don't do many foreign films, although I enjoyed Motorcycle Diaries and The Butterfly and the Dving Bell. I really don't believe in picking a single favorite anything. ;-)
