Introduction

i'm very interested in art, specifically the visual and performing arts. those are, of course, embodied in the art of film. my particular medium is photography, so i really appreciate the mastery of cinematography we see in lawrence and vampyr.

What independent or foreign film that most affected you?

favs include senki and cherry blossoms. all time favorites: grand prix, on the beach, napoleon, the cabinet of dr. caligari and - believe it or not, the kill bill duo.

    Fellini's Casanova - Cinematheque / Nighttown

"amazing film/art! nonstop debauchery in venice. the opening scene was breathtaking. fellini is so complex it is easy to understand why there are university courses dedicated to just one film. too bad that many members missed this one. excellent!"
