UPDATE

It's now getting a bit close to buy tickets in advance but we don't want anyone to miss out on all the fun. Plus we really want to raise as much as we can for the charity!

If you RSVP 'Yes' you'll be added to the Meetup.com guest list on the door. It'll then still be £10 if you arrive between 7pm and 8pm. £12 after. Please let me know if you are bringing guests.

The Morris Dancers will be getting the party started at 7.30!!!

My 73 year old mother is coming down from Newcastle for the night and dressing as Vicky Pollard! Has to be seen..

***************************************************************

The weather forcast has been looking iffy for the planned picnic so lets have a party the week after instead! It will be a St Georges Day theme and all profits from the night will go to the Motor Neuron Disease Association

There'll be English beers & food, Morris Dancers and then a DJ playing the best (and worst) of English music till 1am. Email me or post on the discussion 3 songs you'd like to hear.

Fancy dress encouraged but not essential! Prizes up for grabs for the best costume - theme "someone or something English". There's a list below to give you some ideas. If you're not originally from England then, if you prefer, you can come dressed up as someone or something from the country you're from. If you prefer not to dress up then please come along anyway (maybe stick a £3 bowler hat on for half an hour!)

We have exclusive use of the whole pub and, as it's a Wetherspoons freehouse, there is a great range of reasonably priced beers, wines and spirits. The Knights Templarhttp://www.jdwethersp....

Tickets are £10 in advance. You can use the PayPal button above. If you are buying more than one ticket then change the amount and email/message me with all your names for the invite list. If you prefer not to use PayPal then email or message me (Andy) and I'll reply with alternative ways to pay.

Please invite all of your Meetup & Facebook friends and everyone else - even if you can't come!

it was great fun, though I must confess to hating myself today for the drinking. I am sorry to the school uniform girl(teacher, teaches 11-18 yr olds), who I was supposed to be getting a drink for, I can't remember why I got talking to someone else but I think it was something to do with something that was said which I now can't remember. I sit here kicking myself for being such a moron

Sounds like a great idea, but I may be away that day. If I miss this one I'd hope there would be more as the year gets better.
