SDAFF Extreme, “the other side of the San Diego Asian Film Festival,” brings you four films on the edge of sanity, including VAMPIRE GIRL VS. FRANKENSTEIN GIRL. Yoshihiro Nishimura, who brought to the world the classic "Tokyo Gore Police", returns with his first romantic film venture packed with blood, gore, and screams!
The story begins when a pretty new girl, using “bloody tricks,” steals the boyfriend of the most popular girl in school. Super-popular girl’s father is the principal and science teacher, so when she calls on him for help, funny things happen, and after some bloody experimentation, Frankenstein Girl is born!
Get ready for a night of blood-lusting vampires; a crazed, jealous Frankenstein Girl; dancing homicidal nurses; insane scientists; and to see every possible way to dismember, disembowel, and destroy a human being! It‘s the bloodiest, funniest, yet cutest (?) romance you’ll see this year.
If you've seen "Tokyo Gore Police" or Noboru Iguchi's "The Machine Girl", you know exactly what to expect: complete and utter mayhem. Will it make sense? Hell no, but that's not why you attend a movie called "Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl".
Please meet at Hooter's to ease into the element of sex, violence, debauchery and "hot" wings.
Hope to see you all there to celebrate Japanese "thinking way the hell outside the box" independent filmmaking.
