Hello Everyone...
I am a huge Bette Davis fan, so I definitely want to see one of her films at the LACMA during the month of May. One of my favorite is "The Little Foxes"...
***The film is playing on Saturday May 17th at 7:30 pm at the LACMA. We could meet inside the lobby of the theatre at 7:00 and I am going to schedule a fun dinner after the movie.
***Take note that you should buy your tickets on-line ahead of time to ensure that you get a seat. You can purchase tickets in advance from the LACMA: https://tx1.lacma.org...
After the film, around 9:30 we are going to move just down the street to an LA Landmark Restaurant/Pub(same theme with the movie)...built in 1936: Tom Bergin's Tavern http://www.tombergins.... They serve dinner until midnight, so it should all work out great. We can carpool from the LACMA area to the restaurant.
***Please let me know if your RSVP if you would like to join us for dinner so that I can reserve the space for us.
***Finally, Lindsie and I are going to attend the Saturday afternoon(17th) the LACMA art walk. If any of you would like to join us, just let me know. I can be reached at: 773-844-6570, or you can send me an email. We are meeting at 4:00pm at the corner of Spaulding and Wishire (in front of parking lot)... right across the street from the museum.

Fasten Your Seat Belts: The Essential Bette Davis
1941/b&w/115 min. | Scr: Lillian Hellman, Arthur Kober, Dorothy Parker, Alan Campbell; dir: William Wyler; w/ Bette Davis, Herbert Marshall, Teresa Wright, Dan Duryea
Lillian Helmann's corrosive play about money, power, and mendacity in the Deep South features Davis in high shrew mode as Regina Givens (Talullah Bankhead played her on Broadway), who outmaneuvers brothers and husband to control the dynastic fortune.
Bette is an absolute knockout in this adaptation of Lilliam Hellman's play about greed and corruption in the old south, at the turn of the century. Bette plays Regina Giddens, the formidable matriarch of a powerful southern clan, who will stop at nothing in order to secure wealth and social status. Director William Wyler and cinematographer Gregg Toland succeeded in creating a visually exciting film instead of just a filmed stage play. Nominated for ten Academy Awards, this is an unforgettable and still timeless film. A must!
