Unmarried siblings Jon and Wendy Savage (Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Linney) are unexpectedly reunited and thrust into caregiver roles when their father (Philip Bosco) begins to succumb to dementia. Writer-director Tamara Jenkins, who received an Oscar® nomination for her honest and unexpectedly funny screenplay, will talk about her work in a post-screening discussion. The program will also include a screening of Jenkins? award-winning short film FAMILY REMAINS.

I never made it to this film when it was in it's initial theatrical release... It looked quite good and I was bummed to have missed the opportunity to see it on the big screen.

Now, it looks like I'll have the chance to do so after all...with the added bonus of hearing the director speak after the show!

So come join us at the Dryden Theatre [NOTE - this event is *NOT* at the Little!] for an entertaining and informative evening...

I'll meet everyone in the Café at 7:30. I'll be there with at least one other person, but you can get additional details about all my guests here.

'Hope to see you there!

Who attended?

    •  The two movies were great. Tamara, the director was funny and answered questions from the Q&A. This was my first meet up with the group. Everybody was so nice and friendly. The assistant leader was gracious enough to get the tickets. Therefore I didn't have to wait in line.(large line)
    •  Great night & film. Wonderful turnout. Director Tamara Jenkins was incredibly gracious & humble about her work. Very nice people. Thanks to Herbie, Debra & Stephanie for making it out.
    •  It was my first meeting with the group - and everyone was so kind, thought and welcoming - with a few members even willing to go stand in line and purchase the tickets ahead of time for those who did not yet arrive. A pleasant experience all the way around, I look forward to meeting with the group again (and maybe next time I will be able to stick around and discuss with coffeewhatever film will be screened).
    •  It was excellent to have such an opportunity to speak to a movie maker.
