To celebrate the Halloween season, Master Pancake dreams up fun ways to eviscerate the Wes Craven classic A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1984), or as we like to call it "Scissorhands vs. Razorgloves". Featuring a baby-faced Johnny Depp (21 JUMP STREET, EDWARD SCISSORHANDS) as a preppy horn-dog who just wants to get with Heather Langenkamp (NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3, GROWING PAINS) the girl next door with a fantastic set of lungs. Of course it's Robert Englund (C.H.U.D. II: BUD THE CHUD, THE ADVENTURES OF FORD FAIRLANE) who steals the show as the well-clawed Freddy Krueger, who, like most 80's horror villains, only seems to stalk teenagers who are in danger of copulating. Actual showtime is 7:15 PM, but the Alamo frowns on saving seats ... so ... if you plan on going please show up early.
