  • It's that sort of warm hearted leadership that keeps me coming back. I think I possibly will make it this time (despite Kevin Spacey blah blah) but won't be able to stay late again due to having my good nature exploited by the faceless corporate fashion beasts. One day Michael Moore will make a film about my life.

    It will be shit.

  • 21?! Kevin Spacey hasn't made a good film since LA Confidential! If you are looking for alternatives then I suggest either the remake of Funny Games or [REC] which is a Spanish zombie film that is very highly rated

  • sadly wont be there but i can vote in spirit yeh?

    Hannah Montana 3d ftw!

    Posted Mar 5, 2008
  • No! You're not allowed to see The Other Boleyn Girl because I want to see that and it's not fair for you all to watch something that I want to see when I can't be there! :)

  • As much as I approve of this poll I do kind of feel that people not attending should be barred from voting somehow. Mainly because I know for a fact that if I couldn't come I'd pick something like 'Air Bud 7: The Worm Boosters' or some such shit just to annoy everyone. It's possible that everyone else is just not as much of a twat as me though..

  • Haha not that I know of. Although she has now apparently dyed her hair green and thus can tick another box on the 'generic list of student things to do'. I dyed my hair blue as a student and got called 'homo' by a random guy in Tescos. I realise that I am slowly becoming a parody of myself.

  • Lolz! It's not like I hadn't already spelt it correctly twice myself. You could have just copied! Anyway.. I know this is short notice but if you, or anybody on here in the Manchester area, fancy seeing some bands (including the amazing 'Rosie Taylor Project') on Thursday night at the Roadhouse then just let me know. It's £5 on the door and should be all sorts of goods.

  • Obviously typing 'I'll will just ignore it' undermines my point somewhat but I'm merely a big pink cog in the fashion industry machine and not responsible for the education of the youths of this country.

    Posted Mar 3, 2008
  • Haha! "Nice use of 'prediliction' by the way" - My old nasty self might have pointed out that actually it is spelled predilection and that when this country is full of illiterate morons we can blame you and your classes in the art of misspelling. But seeing as how it's all a big love-in now I'll will just ignore it.

  • Although Mister Lonely might be interesting as I see it's a Harmony Korine film and Gummo and Julien Donkey Boy were both pretty great. Actually I've just looked at reviews and apparently that's shit too. Maybe we should take a cue from Be Kind Rewind and shoot our own? Btw can I just point out that I used the word Predilection in that last message. I want to emphasise that.

  • Haha that was very nice thanks. And sincere to boot. Hangover has incredibly gradually got worse over the day to the point where typing each letter is causing me pain right now. Do we get to nominate films for this poll? My predilection for zombie films (especially George Romero ones) means I'd be tempted to say Diary of the Dead but judging by the trailer it looks like Cloverfield all over again.

  • USE POLL OPTION NEXT TIME. LET'S HAVE SOME DEMOCRACY! Bleurgh I really need to sleep.

    Posted Mar 2, 2008
  • Actually 'Northstar' of Alpha Flight was the first openly gay superhero, so Ha! (can't believe I'm actually proud about knowing that. Add to that the fact I'm typing it onto the internet on a Friday night and I'm now gonna go have a long think about where my life is going)
