Hi all!
I went to Bolton today, it was "epic". Great snow depth and excellent cardio. We will be starting on 'Jake' trail 11:00 am, then jumping to 3c,2c etc. all of which aren't groomed, like to have lunch at 'twin knolls'. The grade is gradual, although it is nice climb with no cliffs;-0 phewwww!
I will be in green Chevy Tahoe
Everyone should bring water, snacks (sandwich)and if you can bring poles, i will bring some extra sets.
If someone doesn't have snowshoes, rentals are 15$ at the nordic center, accross from the Bolton base lodge. I chatted with nordic center director, he mentioned we didn't have to pay a fee, since we will be on lower ungroomed trails.
directions:
from B-town---take exit 11 (Richmond-Bolton exit), turn east(right) onto rte. 2. Bolton Access Rd. is about 8 miles from exit ramp. it's easy to miss...
i will be at Muddy Waters at 9:30---if some people want to car pool. i can fit 5 people safely.
my cell is 802-370-0336
my e-mail: [address removed] make sure you attach message..'snowshoe' i get way to much spam, sometimes i miss an important e-mail.
hmmm! what else.
any questions call. 'i'm crossing my fingers for cold weather all week' the snow is real nice!
Michael
