Mary Beth's 14th Annual Movie Marathon Day Details:

I created my very own movie marathon day 14 years ago.This special event occurs the day before the first day back to school. I'm a teacher and it's my last ditch effort at escaping reality as long as I possibly can on that last official day of summer vacation. As soon as the movie listings are released for nearby theatres earlier in the week, I plot my movie marathon day according to movie preference and running times as well as trying to schedule time for a quick meal. I always stay at the same theatre, and I attempt to schedule 5 consecutive movies. During the past 13 years, I have enjoyed most of these marathon events by myself, but I am taking this opportunity to invite the Northwest Popcorn Movie Goers and The Houston Film Snobs to join me. Choose any movie that strikes your fancy, or all 5? The location is AMC Willowbrook. Keep in mind this is my annual day so I get to pick movies and times. Though, I am very appreciative that so many people are willing to share at least one movie with me. Also keep in mind that one year I had to see "How to Be a Player" because there were such slim pickins, so I'm actually quite excited about this year's film choices even if some don't sound too appealing. I will be wearing my UW-LaCrosse T-shirt, brown pants, and brown flip flops. Please text me or e-mail me to find me or otherwise contact a fellow movie goer going to the same film to meet up with them. Please let me know which movies you are planning on attending, so I can at least look for you. You may want to e-mail me or post it on your RSVP. I generally go to the restroom after each movie and then proceed to the next one to find my seat. If there is enough time I'll look for people in the lobby. Otherwise, ya'll will have to find me. Typically this meet up does not work quite that way, but this is an extenuating circumstance. And if anyone has any suggestions about finding each other, let me know. I will try to sit as close to the middle row, middle seat as possible. And if you want me to save YOU a seat, text me and I shall try.

For anyone who is seeing Tropic Thunder, there will be little time in between that and the previous movie, so will someone save ME a seat? Thanks! :-)
And I promise we will be having standard, normal movie meetups soon once the marathon is over.
