Looks really, really cool...synopsis from Rotten Tomatoes...

Genre master Peter Jackson produces this science-fiction film, the directorial debut of Neill Blomkamp. In District 9, South Africa has become a haven for refugees--from outer space.

And great reviews: http://www.rottentoma...

Anyone want to see this in the theater?

ps The aliens look pretty cool...see them here...

It's a great movie. I highly recommend it. They make you believe that this could really happen in our lifetime. It also has some good messages and some great characters, even among the aliens. Not to mention some really awesome action. :)

District 9 review:

Devastating critique of modern society and a surprising plot with great acting...best movie of the year? Maybe....

Great film. My daughter had to see it for her writing class and I'm so glad I tagged along.

One of those films that sticks with you and not only because of the Pete Jackson-esque special effects and buckets of blood. A societal commentary that makes you squirm in more ways than one.

I'd love to see it get mainstream recognition when the yearly awards come around, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
