This deliciously subversive French film reinvents what may be the first ever serial killer story. Two kids in an attic read a scary story, and it unfolds on screen. The 18th century tale is about young Marie-Catherine, who is offered as a bride to local squire Bluebeard. But all his previous wives have disappeared without trace. Interesting, could be good I feel.
