It's like a book club, but without the reading assignments. We meet to watch and talk about movies, and to socialize with fellow club members. Meetups will include going to a local cinema to watch a movie, then out for coffee, drinks, etc. to talk about the movie and hang out. We are a diverse group of people who enjoy both books and movies. Our group is unique in that we will read a book (usually yet to be released to film) and then watch the movie together (generally the week it opens or week after) and after watching the film, get together for really great discussion on the book and the movie.
